I show how a QRP (5-watt) station can search for contacts on a busy band during the ARRL CW Sweepstakes. The first contact (QSO) is translated for non-hams/CW readers. You're on your own on the second one since the signal is pretty weak. I could hear it in person but the camera didn't do so well. First station contacted is KB7Q in Montana. Then, I run across an old friend of mine K4QPL, Pete, in North Carolina. It still amazes me, after being a ham radio operator for over 27 years now, how a 5-watt signal can travel around the country and the world so easily.
