Thunderpen!

Thunderpen! Tube. Duration : 2.20 Mins.

During the last Bunny Day at the Animal Rescue League one of the rabbits, Rex, kept escaping from and attacking the cage he was in. We joked that he was spoiling for a fight and was taunting us to a no-holds-barred cage match. So in a fit of silliness, we decided to riff on the "Thunderdome" part of the last Mad Max movie, where "two men enter, one man leaves." So now we have "Thunderpen! Two mammals enter, one mammal leaves!" Arnold loves the rabbits so much it was actually difficult to find clips that made it look like they were wrestling around, because he was petting and kissing Rex so often. Rex really enjoyed the cage match, but he naturally escaped at the end and visited Mrs. Peacock. You can see what his reward was. Some people don't like the wire cages we have to use to house some of the rabbits -- we don't like using them, either. However, the ARL has had a glut of rabbits recently and we've had to use the less desirable cages. We took in nearly 30 bunnies from a home where they failed to keep the males and females separated. If you'd like to help us get better cages, please donate to the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire. www.rescueleague.org
